Colors: Black, White and Apple GreenThis couple will always have a special place in my heart, as they were my first client booking from my first bridal show! They are such a lovely couple and I had the best time working with them. They both had such wonderful taste and Lisa is the DIY Queen she rocks! Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and one of my personal favorites. Probably because it was inspired by one of my ultimate fav schemes the black white and apple green with accents of Damask. That scheme was meant for Lisa and Brandon! We had a blast designing all of the little details, from the escort card display, the wish tree, centerpieces, the candy station etc. Hope you enjoy some of my fav detail pics!
Lisa had fabulous SHOES!
Thanks Brandon and Lisa for allowing me to be apart of your special day!
Ashley and Jason are such a wonderful couple, I am so honored to be apart of their special day.
Their wedding day is going to be absolutely beautiful!
Not to mention a whole lot of fun! Being as though it is taking place on the 4th of July.
Their color scheme is very pleasing with rich shades of plum, lavender, ivory and greens.
It has been so much fun working with this couple.
Below you will see some of our initial design ideas
The couple has chosen a wonderful array of blooms starting with
dark purple hydrangia, lisianthus, lavendar sweet peas, green hydrangia, cybidium orchids,
green hypericum berries, as well as white lisianthus for their big day!
This fascinating combination of flowers will be very elegant yet impactful, and when placed
against the exquisite linens we’ve selected and ivory pillow case chair covers, it is sure to be a show stopper.
Ashley has wonderful ideas and has been so much fun to work with.
Everything from the simplistic detailing of the invitations
down to the very unique detailing of the wedding cake (which you will have to wait to see),
these details will without a doubt have their guests talking about their event for days!
You will have to check back to see images from their Big day
because we have some fun surprises up our sleeves.

As classic as a little black dress and pearls, a black-and-white palette gives even the simplest things an elegant appeal.
I love to color-coordinate things, and weddings are no exception! I’ve been known to see a bedroom set, even a pillow and say. “That would be great as a wedding!” Or how about a lamp? Yes even a lamp! I actually came across a absolutely beautiful pendant lamp, I got together with my cake designer and had her replicate the design with a wedding cake. Inspiration is Everywhere! Today, I share with you my favorite, Black-and-White with shades of Green. Not just any Black-and-White, but crisp and modern damask prints. Anyone who stopped by my booth at the Sounds of Music bridal show in January knows exactly what I am talking about! This scheme was a eye catcher!
Who says that bridesmaids dresses have to be boring, select a dress with a pattern or something that your girls will more then likely wear again. Check out these black and white dresses, very classy yet not the traditional bridesmaid dress. Think outside the box!

Favors…Who needs favors when you have a Candy Buffet!
…like everything else in weddings, candy buffets are getting more & more personalized
A Candy buffet at the reception can serve as a unique way to offer your guests a tasty favor and also incorporate your wedding colors.
It is suggested that candy buffets work best when they are planned through the eye and not the numbers. Some articles suggest buying a certain number of ounces per guest, but the more successful candy buffets seem to be those that are planned by the size of the table and the containers that will be on the table. It is suggested to choose 5 to 10 types of candy that you want to display and purchase 15-20 pounds of each of these candies. This may seem like an over abundance of candy, but a large table overflowing with candy has a presence at your wedding and does not look like something you threw together at the last minute. “When it comes to candy, the more the merrier. If you have a large table overflowing with candy, you have presence. The biggest disappointment I hear is that the candy buffet didn’t look substantial.”
What kind of candy should you buy? Well it depends on the theme of your buffet. Do you want an all white buffet, or do you prefer that the candy buffet matches the color scheme of your wedding, or are you having a theme wedding? For example if you are having a beach theme wedding, you can serve candies from the boardwalk: saltwater taffy, caramel apples, fudge, peanut brittle. Another option is to have a retro candy buffet displaying such items as candy bracelets and necklaces on the elastic cords or the little waxed bottles filled by sugar water.
After you’ve decided on the types of candy that you want to display you will need to decide how you are going to display the candy. Interesting containers will change your candy buffet from ordinary to extraordinary. Use containers in different shapes and different heights. Clear containers are the best to show off your candy displays. Also use containers that are wide enough for a candy scoop to fit inside. What’s the use of having cool containers if your guests can’t get to the candy? A suggestion to make the whole look pop is to use displays to raise some of the containers, giving your buffet height. An old catering trick is to take a catering rack or a milk crate and turn it upside down on the table, and cover with a cloth. A finishing touch would be some flowers or candles matching your theme on the table with your candy.
Lastly, you need to think about how your guests will take the candy away from the buffet. Some brides have suggested using small cellophane bags, or classic white bags, or even take out containers matching the color theme of the wedding. Whatever type of container you use, make it fun and personalize with small stickers.
